Alyssa is a quiet, reserved child who is withdrawn until she feels safe and comfortable in the midst of others. She generally gets along well with peers. When dealing with stress and emotions she isn't able to openly express, she tends to get anxious and requires support and reinforcement to come up with appropriate responses. Once Alyssa gets used to new surroundings, she becomes more interactive. She is very attached to her foster parents. Alyssa is not always comfortable expressing herself verbally, therefore feelings may come out in her behavior. She requires a lot of structure and real clear boundaries which help keep her focused and on task. An active teenager, Alyssa enjoys going to church, reading, listening to music, especially rap, and playing soccer. She also has a strong desire to be a cheerleader. Her first love and passion is drawing and she says she wants to be an architect when she grows up.
