She also loves animals and wants a family that enjoys having pets. Due to her traumatic past, Amber has some difficulty with boundaries, self-esteem, peer interactions and relationships. She is currently in a therapeutic foster home and receives regular counseling to help her with attachment issues. She has completed the 5th grade and has been receiving in-school tutoring services and group counseling for students who need to work on social skills. Amber likes being in a family with other children, but she will probably do best in a home where she is the youngest child. The unconditional commitment of patient and nurturing parents is what Amber will need to help her develop trust, feel accepted and loved as part of a family.
