Amy’s past has caused a lot of scarring on her emotionally. She needs a lot of support to help her overcome what she has experienced. She really needs to experience unconditional love. She does her best when she has a lot of structure around her. She is a people pleaser, and she is even more of a pleaser toward men. She does fairly well with authority figures at home. At school, she shows some difficulties in not following directions. She is very outgoing and makes friends easily. She does better with older children and in small groups. She is affectionate. She likes to give hugs and will also clean the house in order to show love toward her foster mother. Amy stated the following in regards to an adoptive home, “I do not want to live in in the area that I am living in now, because I would like to have a fresh start where no one knows who I am. I want to live in the country, preferably a farm with a lot of animals. I want a family that is loving and caring and who will love me unconditionally. I would like to be part of a big family. I would like a family that goes to church. I would like to have my own room, but if I don’t get everything that I have asked for in a family, that will be fine.” Amy has a lot of potential and just needs adults in her life to help her achieve that. She just wants a family that is hers.
