Austin has a warm smile and bright eyes He is very affectionate loves spending time in his room, and recently receive a new bike which he hopes to learn how to ride. He loves remote control cars and anything "Sponge Bob". Austin is in the seventh grade and participates in special education classes. He is extremely proud of making the honor roll at school and enjoys being the center of attention. Austin has Asperger's syndrome and is mildy mentally retarded. He has problems following directions and struggles to get along with his peers. Austin is working with his therapist to develop appropriate coping methods and social skills. Austin needs a family with lots of patience and structure. Preference would be for a family who is willing to let him maintain contact with his biological sister. A family who can help him flourish.
