Billy is a 10-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Billy is an energetic and active child. He enjoys looking at "dirt bike" type magazines. His verbal skills are improving. He likes to play outside, play with Lego's, and other types of building blocks. He is able to recognize and say his colors. He knows people and their names by memory. He has worked with the Early Childhood Intervention program in the past to help him improve his development. He attends public school in a self-contained classroom due to his slower rate of learning. He is developmentally delayed, but continues to make progress. Billy receives speech, occupational and physical therapy. Billy has a hard time focusing, however, this is improved with the help of medication. Billy will require assistance in order to help him be successful in the future. He is very loving once he warms up to you. He enjoys giving and receiving hugs and is able to show affection towards others. Visit me at the TARE Gallery.

The adoptive family will need to be patient, nurturing, and understanding. They will need to provide a structured home and be willing to utilize resources and work with the public school system. They will need to be flexible and creative.
