Description
Brandon is an extremely caring boy who is genuinely more concerned for others than for himself. He will do or give just about anything to help someone, especially if they are sick. Brandon is also exceptionally polite and displays excellent manners. He has lots of friends at school and loves to make people laugh. Brandon likes to play video games, board games, and cards, but he would much rather be outdoors. He loves to go fishing, riding his bike, skateboarding, and playing with dogs. Brandon attends regular classes at school where he is doing better this year. With the aide of individual tutoring in reading and English three times a week, Brandon has done much better and his personal education plan will be reviewed soon. Through counseling, Brandon has set goals to understand situations that trigger specific responses and act appropriately, become increasingly more honest, and more compliant with rules. Like Brandon, April is an amazingly caring young girl who puts others first. She goes out of her way to please others and is very considerate of their feelings. April is a loving and affectionate girl, as long as she is allowed to show it in her own way and time. She loves going to church and participating in church-related activities, like singing in the choir and acting in the Christmas program. April also enjoys playing house with her baby dolls, playing with her Bratz dolls, and watching TV. She prefers to play indoors at board games and cards with Brandon, rather than being outside. April attends regular classes at school where tutoring three times a week helps and extended test time has allowed her to improve her grades. Her goals in counseling include applying the social skills she is learning, building self-confidence, improving organizational skills, and following directions. Brandon and April have never had both a mom and dad. They both talk about how they hope some new parents are out there waiting for a son and daughter and they would love to have a brother and a sister near their ages. Brandon and April need adoptive parents who provide them with consistency, stability, structure, and lots of attention and love. They will both benefit from having opportunities to build their self-esteem. Brandon and April are wonderful kids who need the experience and devotion of a calm, loving, and supportive family.
