Brittany says, “I am very ambitious and am determined to fulfill my goals and dreams”. Brittany is a very talented, intelligent, out spoken and mature young lady. She loves to go on trips, explore new states, go shopping, and playing softball and basketball. Brittany has twin sisters whom she loves very much and would want to remain in contact with. Brittany loves listening to music, going swimming and riding four wheelers. Brittany wants to grow up and live in a big city. Brittany reports that she has a lot of friends and is able to make friends easily. As most teenagers do, Brittany enjoys the privacy of her own room. She also wishes to become a member of the Youth Advisory Counsel. Her plans for the future include furthering her education and pursuing her Doctorate in Chemistry and becoming a lawyer. “Brittany is a very sweet child who thrives on positive attention and can do whatever she sets her mind to do. Brittany can be a very responsible young lady when she wants to and is very good at helping others. She has a strong bond with her young sisters whom she assumed responsibility for in the past,” says her case manager. Brittany needs a parent or parents that will provide the love, structure, and nurturing that she needs to feel safe, important, and valued. Her family will need to provide structure with consistent rules. They will also need to be mindful of the trauma that Brittany has faced in her short life and managed to over come. Brittany has a firm relationship with her younger sisters and would like a family that could support a continued relationship with them through letters, telephone calls, and possible visits. Brittany needs a family that will stick by her and support her in everything that she does. With such parental support, it is believed that Brittany will become an independent, productive adult.
