Description
Chytika wants to be part of a family that will love her, be patient with her and accept her. Chytika admits she can be a handful. When she is able to develop trust in the relationship and believe the family will not reject her due to any of her behaviors, she is able to be a very pleasant, fun, exciting, interesting and caring person. Chytika believes everyone should have opportunity to have a family/someone and somewhere to whom they belong.
Chytika wants to complete high school and attend college or a vocation/technical school. Chytika wants to work with children who are a part of the foster care system. Chytika believes her experience as a foster child can benefit other children.
Chytika enjoys dancing. She likes playing sports. She enjoys listening to music and reading. Chytika likes outdoor activities, enjoys camping, and going to the mall.
Chytika is very bright, intelligent, and creative. Chytika is very articulate. Chytika is interested in using her experiences as a foster child to be a mentor and social worker/case manager for children in the foster care system. Chytika realizes she has made some negative choices in her past and is very determined to become a successful young lady who has learned and become a more productive person because of her past experiences.
Chytika was able to transition from special education classes to performing successfully in a traditional school setting. She has experienced some behavioral challenges in an academic setting however; she applies enormous effort to face those challenges with success.
Chytika enjoys playing Tennis and other sports.
Chytika enjoys listening to varies genre of music. She particularly enjoys hip-hop, rap, and gospel.
Chytika has maintained relationship with some of her former foster parents. She has been described as being very pleasant, funny, and enjoyable to be around. She is described as having behaviors that are a challenge, at times, but, if an individual a able to be firm, consistent, and accepting of Chytika, she is able to maintain appropriate behaviors in a family setting.
Chytika has a unique sense of humor. She can be a challenge when she becomes upset/frustrated, however; she can articulate her feelings when given the opportunity and be encouraged to display more appropriate methods of expressing her frustrations. Chytika has expressed a willingness to work towards addressing issues of her past that may contribute to some of her non-productive behaviors. Chytika is academically capable of being an all “A” student when she applies herself. Chytika is capable is being a very warm, outgoing, and loving person.
Chytika is very intelligent and when she applies herself to any task, she is capable of being very successful, academically.
Chytika seems to be more productive with a female than a male. She would probably connect/bond more effectively in a single parent home.
Chytika, initially, will probably require individualized attention and dedicated effort to assist in the bonding process. Once a bonded relationship is established Chytika would probably be able to develop a positive relationship with other members/children in the family, depending on the age and gender of the children, however, she would possibly benefit more in a family setting with only one child.
Chytika will need to be able to maintain contact with her family members; especially her brothers. Her relationship with the aunt who raised her for several years prior to DCS Custody is usually verbally confrontational and should always be monitored. Chytika has expressed interest in communication with her birth mother, however, her whereabouts is unknown and the relationship (Interaction) is unknown.
Chytika is currently involved in different venues of therapeutic interventions which should continue unless indicted by the practitioners.
