Corey is a loving boy with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor. He is expressive, active, and consistent. Corey likes to be helpful and readily offer to do the chores of the other children in his foster home. He enjoys Star Wars and collecting action figures, riding his bike, and drawing. Corey loves to watch the Discovery Channel and eat Chinese cuisine. He thinks he’d like to become an artist or chef when he grows up.
Corey attends special education classes in public school. He loves being in a regular school and is doing well with his schoolwork. Counseling provides positive reinforcement and helps Corey in many areas of his life. He is learning to develop and maintain positive peer relationships and to always be respectful to adults. Corey demonstrated his progress recently when he had a major disappointment and was able to accept it without incident.
Corey very much wants to be part of an active and loving family. He will likely do best as the only or youngest child with a two-parent family or single mother with strong support to allow him the attention he needs. Corey needs structure and consistency. He operates best when he knows what to expect, so maintaining a schedule for him is important.
