Meet COURTNEY (3/92). He can win a person right over. Courtney has some very special needs. While he is unable to speak, he can communicate through making sounds and pointing to what he wants. You can also read the expressions on his face and his body language. Courtney absolutely loves music, especially gospel and country. Like most any kid, he has a sweet tooth. Courtney is not one to turn down candy or cookies! He has a very good appetite overall. Courtney generally has good conduct in school. He can communicate with a picture exchange communication system. He still enjoys preschool toys and hands-on activities. Courtney likes to be off in his own room playing with Legos and blocks. He likes to arrange and sort items. Courtney can follow one step directions. He is a good listener and is a very cooperative and endearing child. It is uncertain how much of the adoption process he will understand. Courtney currently seems happy and content in his foster home. He relates well with his foster parents and has demonstrated being protective of his foster brother. It is difficult, however, to ascertain his level of attachment. Courtney does enjoy being involved with church and family outings. Courtney will always need some assistance with daily living. His adoptive family will receive financial and medical support in the form of an adoptive subsidy to help meet his special needs. Courtney truly needs a forever family.
