Darrin says, "I want a family that will be understanding and supportive." Darrin has a good personality and is intelligent and helpful. He is reserved when discussing his feelings, but is very outgoing when he is participating in other activities. Darrin likes to go places and do things. He likes to run track and lift weights. He also enjoys music, watching movies, and playing video games. Darrin does well in school and either wants to attend college or enlist in the Marines when he graduates from high school. Darrin's case manager says that Darrin is a pleasant and intelligent child who needs a permanent home. Darrin is a charming and typical teenage boy. He is fun to be with when he is involved in activities. Darrin does not mind helping others. He does not talk openly about his feelings and emotions related to his past. Darrin's family will need to encourage Darrin to continue doing well in school and allow him to participate in extra curricular activities. His family will need to be supportive of his plans for the future. In addition, his family must be willing to participate in any counseling that Darrin may need. Most of all, Darrin needs an adoptive family who will be understanding, patient, and positive with him.
