Description

Dusti has an in-charge type of personality. She likes to be in charge of her play, other people around her and life in general. She can be sweet, loving and charming. Dusti loves to play with her dolls. She is athletically-inclined but needs motivation to participate in sports or outside activities. Dusti is creative in building elaborate creations with Lego's or Lincoln Logs. She loves to design and build things. She also loves to play dress up. She is creative with play ideas but doesn't always get her ideas across to the other children and can get frustrated when they do not understand what she is trying to get them to do. Dusti does well in school and may eventually be able to participate in the talented and gifted program. She must work on concentrating on her own work and not that of others. Dusti is participating in individual therapy each week to help her with her social and relationship skills. Visit me at the Heart Gallery of North Texas.

Dusti would do best in a family who is structured and understands that traumatic life events affect the behavior of children. The family must have the skills necessary to deal with the behavior issues that result. A family that can promote Dusti to achieve and flourish is desired. It would be best that she be placed in a home with no younger children. Parenting experience would be a plus when it comes to this beautiful child. Dusti does have a sister who is not ready for adoption at this time but continued contact with her sister is recommended.
