Description

Dustin is an active child who likes to laugh a lot and has a very charming smile. He enjoys roller skating, softball, swimming, going shopping, to the zoo, park and out to eat. He excels at reading and likes using a computer. He can be very sweet and kind, and likes to help out at home and please others. Dustin has made progress in the area of socialization, but still prefers one-on-one situations. Dustin says, “Being with someone who also wants to be with me” makes him happy and adoption means “having a family that will always be there for me.” A skilled one or two-parent family that will make a lifetime commitment to Dustin is needed. Dustin is a child who will experience many life challenges and will need their advocacy, support, and unconditional love. The family should be willing to invest their time and energy introducing Dustin to new experiences in life. They will also need to assist him in his communication, socialization and safety skills. There should be no other children in the home or only older children who can serve as positive role models for him.
