Description
Although he can be somewhat bashful, Germaine is a very outgoing and social child who makes friends easily. He is easygoing, laid back, and doing exceptionally well in his current foster home. He enjoys being a member of the Beta Club at school and he loves playing football and basketball and running track. Germaine would like to be a professional athlete, but if that doesn’t happen, he hopes to become a teacher. Like most teen boys, Germaine enjoys playing video and computer games.
Germaine attends special cross-categorical classes at school where, with the help of additional assistance and a personal aide, he has made terrific progress. His attitude, academics, and behaviors have all improved at home as well, thanks mostly to the therapeutic interventions of his foster parents. Extracurricular activities have had an obvious positive impact on his social and character development.
Germaine needs an adoptive family with a similar background as his current foster parents. He will need total commitment to his continued progress with school and in the community. Germaine needs consistency and nurturing with clearly established rules and appropriate consequences. He has a brother with whom some contact should be supported.
