He enjoys hugs and encouragement and tries to please. Gervell usually follows his older brother's lead, but he is also independent if necessary. School can be a challenge for Gervell, as he sometimes will not complete his work. He is mischievous and likes to tease his teacher. Gervell is making progress, through counseling, in dealing with painful issues from his past. "Gervell is trying to improve his behavior," says his counselor”, and he is succeeding." Gervell's caseworker says, "Gervell is a charmer and really wants to please”. Gervell needs an adoptive family who will accept him and his older brother, Gerald, and be willing to work with them in dealing with their background and testing behavior. Their family will be rewarded with a home full of love and laughter.
