Jayda is an active child that tends to be a loner. She has become more friendly and outgoing and enjoys spending time with her friends. Jayda says she aspires to be a teacher or cosmetologist when she grow up. Jayda says she enjoys styling hair and doing nails. Her favorite subject in school is Math. Jayda also enjoys outdoor activities, attending church and dancing. Jayda has been apprehensive toward adoption as she has a close bond with her foster mother. However, she is becoming more open to the idea. Jayda resides with her younger sister and the plan is to place them together. Jayda also has two brothers she has contact with and it will be important for her to maintain this contact. Jayda will begin middle school in the fall. She is in special education classes to help improve her reading and writting skills but is progressing enough to take some main stream classes.

Jayda and Jasmine are fun-loving sisters who want to be adopted together. They both enjoy spending times with their friends, listening to music and singing with youth church choir. They both say that "That's So Raven" is one of their favorite TV programs. Jayda and Jasmine need an adoptive family that will be direct, consistent and patient. Jayda will do well in either a single parent or two-parent family. It's important to Jayda that she feels loved, secure and a sense of belonging. Jayda responds to well to redirection when caregivers talk with her about appropriate behaviors and allow her to talk out her feelings. A family that maintains an active lifestyle will be ideal for Jayda. She also needs a family that will be hands-on and advocate for her needs. Jayda can benefit from participating in educational enrichment and extra-curriculmn programs.
