Jermya's big, bright eyes will absolutely captivate you. She is very responsive and will smile and make vocal noises when someone talks to her, particularly when she recognizes the person. Jermya enjoys sitting in her infant bouncer and playing with her toys and mirror. Jermya was born prematurely and diagnosed with oral aversion, hypothyroidism, g-tube placement and Nissen fundoplication. She receives occupational, speech and physical therapy twice per week and occasionally needs weekly doctor's visits. Jermya's current physical condition is stable.

Jermya needs a family that will be understanding and patient with her limitations. The family will need knowledge on how to attend to her medical and developmental needs. The family should be prepared to devote a lot of time and attention to her present and future developmental needs in order to help her progress medically.
