Description
Jordan (11/93) is a handsome young man who has beautiful dark brown eyes and dark brown curly hair. Jordan likes to ride bikes and play with toy cars. He enjoys drawing, coloring, and painting. Jordan attends school at his present placement. His therapist is very protective of him. Due to his intellectual capacity, Jordan has difficulty thinking through things before he acts; this results in unwise choice-making in situations. Jordan acts in ways that ensure that he gets plenty of attention. Though Jordan has older half siblings, he is the oldest of his full sibling group of five. Jordan will be placed separately from his siblings. Jordan functions best in a highly structured setting. He needs constant supervision and a very strict behavior management system. It is felt that Jordan needs the permanency and stability and security that adoption would provide. Visitation and placement with Jordan would need to be slow and steady. Jordan’s therapy team has avoided telling him that his parents’ rights have been terminated in anticipation of adverse behaviors when he is made aware of the present circumstances. A stable, loving, structured family would help Jordan overcome his experiences with his birth family. Jordan needs a family who can be a voice for him for the rest of his life, whether or not he is physically residing with them.
