Photolisting Profile for Jordan
Jordan
Gender:M
State:North Carolina
Description
Jordan is described as curious, quiet, imaginative, and unique. He is also a sweet, charming, and engaging boy who can become a little chatterbox once he feels comfortable with someone. Jordan loves to read and enjoys visiting the library for new books. He also likes to jump on the trampoline, play outside, go fishing, and play with toys that he can manipulate.
Jordan attends regular classes at school where he works hard to earn good grades. Math is the most challenging of his subjects, so he has to really push himself to excel. He has a personal aide that comes to the school and talks with Jordan to help him process his feelings and give him positive feedback, which is very important to him. Because of his desire to be accepted by his peers, Jordan has taken on the role of class clown. He needs to remember that being a clown doesn’t give any rights to being respectful to his teachers. Counseling is helping Jordan with compliance, social skills, and his feelings of loss and grief.
Jordan really wants “to belong to someone” and have his own family. An adoptive family for him must be consistent in their discipline, praise, and nurturing. They must be able to set clear boundaries with appropriate consequences, and be clear about their expectations both of and for Jordan. He would like an active and fun-loving family that will guide him and help him build and maintain positive relationships with other kids.
