Joseph is an active child, who enjoys being outside, playing basketball, and interacting with his brother. He is challenged in his interactions with peers, and can be aggressive at times. Joseph receives assistance to help him learn. He struggles in reading and writing. He is prescribed medications to help him with his mood and behaviors and to help him stay on task. Joseph continues to have visits with extended family members, which has been beneficial and will need to continue. He is fearful of moving to an adoptive home, but is willing to discuss the possibility. He will require patience and understanding during a transition to an adoptive family.

Joseph and Joshua are close brothers, who have lived together all their lives. They interact in typical ways, and will argue and fuss, but defend each other. They enjoy playing outside together, including playing basketball and swinging. Both Joseph and Josh are afraid of moving to an adoptive home, and will need a lot of understanding and patience. They also have continued contact with their grandparents, which has been beneficial and will need to continue. Joseph and Josh have difficulty interacting with peers, and also experience problems in their school setting. Both boys receive special education services, with modifications to accommodate their learning difficulties and behavioral challenges.
