Joshua is a sweet and loving boy with a gigantic heart. His big blue eyes and fabulous smile can capture your heart, while his terrific personality and willingness to be helpful will keep it hostage. Joshua has wonderful manners and an exceptional ability to adjust to new situations. He most enjoys swimming, horseback riding, and just about any outdoor activity. He has recently had the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities and especially likes playing soccer. Joshua plans to make his career working with animals, as he grew up on a farm and loves being around them.
Joshua attends mainstream classes at school where the teaching staff provides him with additional assistance, especially with processing written expression. Joshua really enjoys school and completing assignments. His behavior in class is admirable. Counseling helps Joshua address some anxiety and stress, loss issues, and the transition into foster care and adoption.
Joshua wants a forever family to love him and take care of his needs. A loving, caring, and structured two-parent family accepting of a child with some learning delays will be ideal. Joshua will thrive in a family that loves the outdoors. He has adapted extremely well in his group home and he enjoys positive relationships with the other children and the staff, so adoption should be a positive and pleasant experience for everyone involved.
