Even though she has insecurities related to her traumatic past, Kiana has lots of potential, and with a supportive, nurturing two parent family, she can move beyond her insecurities and blossom. Big sister Kayla is a bright young girl who enjoys learning and currently functions as an honor roll student in school. She thrives on reading and works independently. Kayla struggles with some behavior issues related to the loss of her birth family and will sometimes become defiant and test the limits until she adjusts to a setting. She was very impacted by the disruption of her family and eventual placement into foster care and sometimes struggles to balance her allegiances between her foster and birth families. Kayla will thrive in a stable, safe environment where she can learn positive development skills and move into adulthood with a strong sense of self.
