She writes in her journal to express her emotions and work through her feelings. She is described at having a “big heart of gold” and always aims to please. Latonia is usually shy at first meeting. She would love to be adopted and have a forever family. She is a bit nervous though about being adopted by someone she doesn’t know, but she is willing to give things a chance. Latonia does well in school and has been on the basketball team. She enjoys ROTC and aerobics. She is a big U of L fan. She describes herself as a tomboy, but she also likes “girly” activities such as shopping, talking on the phone, and cooking. Her favorite foods are bananas and chess pie. She makes friends easily and gets along well with peers. As far as structure goes, Latonia admits that she likes to be “free, but not too free”. Latonia respects the discipline and boundaries that are set in place for her. Latonia sings in her church choir and she also likes to rap. She also enjoys oldies, including Gladys Knight and the Temptations. Latonia likes pets, especially dogs, cats, hamsters, and rabbits. She likes to try to earn money and will ask for chores.
