Deonte and Leonte are African American twins who are full of life and ready for a permanent place in the hearts of a loving family. Both boys are friendly, outgoing and active. Deonte likes sports, especially basketball, watching television, playing with his gameboy, playstation and board games. He is a positive member of a household, abides by the rules and is respectful toward his foster parents. Deonte struggles with behaviors in the school setting but has made significant improvement over time. He has difficulty in large group settings which causes him to become the class clown and act silly. Although Deonte sometimes has difficulty identifying and expressing his feelings, he interacts well with his peers and has lots of friends. He will need continual educational monitoring. Leonte is the brother who is more of an extrovert. He responds well to positive attention, and he has a contagious smile. Leonte enjoys swimming and other outside sports, video games and his playstation. Like his brother, he also enjoys basketball, and the boys can be very competitive on the court. Leonte is friendly, likes to share with others and likes to be “cool” in front of his friends by acting silly (which often gets him into trouble). He is on grade level but needs extra help with reading. These brothers will benefit from being the youngest or only children in a two parent family with a strong, positive father figure as a role model. They both deeply feel the loss of their birth family and will need help in processing their feelings about their past. They hope to maintain contact with their other siblings who are in adoptive homes. Deonte and Leonte will thrive with the commitment of a loving family that can provide consistency, structure, nurturance and support to help them be their very best.
