Matthew is a sweet young teenager with an engaging smile. He enjoys playing outside and shooting basketballs. He also enjoys watching TV, playing video games and playing with his friends. Matthew is a "pleaser" and often seeks approval. He is eager to help and enjoys helping with chores and helping around the house. He will often ask or seek out something to do. Matthew appears to like school. He does receive individualized attention in school and tries very hard to improve academically in the classroom. Matthew has difficulty making and maintaining friendships but he is able to give and receive affection in an appropriate manner. Matthew requires age appropriate supervision and is trusted by his caregivers in most circumstances.
