Michael has a great smile and can be very charming. He loves to help when he chooses and likes being involved in group games and activities. Michael loves to talk and enjoys spending time chatting with adults. He is more an artist than athlete and prefers drawing to playing sports. Art is Michael's salvation and he can truly relax when he is in his creative world. He also loves music, mechanical toys, and creating things with his hands, such as the bird house he recently built. Michael also enjoys computer games, TV, and playing on the internet.
Michael likes school and attends regular classes where his individual learning plan allows him more opportunity to be academically successful. He has strong math skills while reading is a challenge. Completing homework assignments is not a part of school which Michael enjoys. Counseling is helping Michael address his feelings of loss and separation.
Michael needs an adoptive family that can comprehend and cope with the effects of his past experiences. He would benefit from a two-parent family with a strong male role model or a single male parent. Michael's adoptive family should be patient, consistent, and nurturing, as well as good disciplinarians. Michael will benefit from parents that will help him learn to develop and maintain peer relationships, as well as giving him time to learn to trust them as adults. He will do best as the youngest or only child in the family.
