Description
Priscilla is an outgoing, fun loving girl. She is an independent and reliable person. She has a part time job and takes pride in doing her best. She also likes working for her own money. She is frugal and learning to save up for the things she wants to purchase. A social girl, Priscilla enjoys school and hanging out with friends. She is passionate about history and social studies, and likes listening to music and watching television. She is well behaved and respectful. Her one true passion is horses. She loves being able to work with them and being around them. Sometimes, she enjoys quiet time to herself and writes in her journal insead of talking to others. She is very protective of her younger siblings, but can get frustrated with them. Still, she is adamant about being adopted with her siblings. Priscilla attends therapy where she is slowly learning to address past issues. Even so, she continues to have a difficult time trusting others.
Priscilla, Brittany, and Conrad are a close sibling group who love each other and want to remain together. They will be slow to trust, and need a family who will be committed to them while they adjust to their new placement. Their new family will need to help them develop appropriate responses to their fears and emotions and help them learn to interact with peers and other individuals. The children need a family who will be structured yet will allow them to have choices. They will do well in a home where there is constant supervision and the family is willing to discuss sensitive, personal issues with all household members. Visit us at the TARE Gallery.
Priscilla needs a family that will be supportive and understanding of her moods and need for quiet times. She will benefit from a family who can help her build self-esteem, develop her talents and learn new coping skills. They will need to help her feel competent and attractive. Priscilla's new family should help her achieve in school and learn to set goals for herself. She enjoys animals and would welcome a home with large animals such as horses. Her parents will need to be open to family counseling as well as individual counseling for Priscilla. They need to be willing to discuss sensitive, personal issues with her.
