Ricardo is a 12-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Ricardo goes by the name of Ricky. He is a very friendly child and quite talkative once he gets to know you, but you can expect shyness to control his behaviors initially and he may seem a bit standoffish. Ricky is very affectionate and isn't afraid to ask for hugs. He is very vocal with his feelings, at least his happy feelings. He will also let you know when he is not happy about something and why. He will verbally express his love and emotions, but he wants to hear it back in return. Favoring outdoor activities and play, Ricky is a country boy at heart, but can adjust to any surroundings as long as he has an outdoor yard or area to play. He likes trees, dirt, rocks and crawling creatures. He has a great imagination and seldom needs toys to play with outside. He creates his own play wonderland. Ricky is visually impaired and speech disabled. He participates in speech therapy as he has a hard time with his speech. He is making progress and works very hard on improving. He will need a family willing to work on his speech issues as be really tries to makes others understand him. Ricky is a typical playful little boy looking for a family to love. He should adjust to a new family and home rather smoothly, especially if he understands it is a "forever home." He is able to get along with others in a loving way. Ricky should thrive in a loving family. He is very loving and needs a family capable of giving lots of hugs and kisses. He should blend in nicely with a family with children, but will also do fine as an only child.
