This is Rushawn – a happy, talkative, pleasant, active African American little boy who loves to get hugs and words of praise and encouragement. He has many interests and loves to play with his trucks and cars, watch cartoons, and play outside. Although he has experienced some delays, he is making good progress. He is learning how to ride his bike, memorize the alphabet, recognize colors, and count to ten. Rushawn enjoys playing with other children and sharing his toys with them. He looks forward to going to school so he can ride the school bus and make new friends. This little guy is a loving and warm child who has experienced a lot of instability and loss. He will do well with parents who help him feel safe and wanted and advocate for his developmental needs. Rushawn struggles with anger sometimes, but he is learning that negative behavior results in consequences, and positive behavior results in rewards. He has made good progress in communicating his needs in more positive ways. Rushawn needs a family who will love him unconditionally and be able to provide the nurturing, stable home environment he needs to blossom.
