Terrance is a polite and easygoing young man who gets along well with other kids. He has an after-school job and enjoys earning money to operate the car his foster parents gave him. Terrance enjoys fishing, playing video games, and music. He plans to go to college to become a music producer. Terrance is excited about his future and has developed a more mature appreciation for life than most kids his age.
Terrance attends special resource classes at school where, with the guidance from his educational plan, he has been able to catch up with his work. After a year in the hospital due to a difficult medical battle, Terrance has learned to trust others and not be afraid to ask for help. He is a heroic survivor, not just of his illness, but of his background, and he very much wants to succeed in life. Biannual medical checkups will be necessary to ensure that he continues his good health.
Terrance's success is due greatly from the support from his foster parents and the hospital staff that proved consistently how much they cared. That support has made a huge impact in his perception of other people. Terrance has benefited from the guidance and positive attitude of an older foster brother, so he would definitely do well with an adoptive older brother in the same capacity. Support in his continue medical progress and encouragement to continue his academic progress to pursue his future dreams would be a wonderful gift for this special child.
