Description
Tiaira is a child that can warm anyone's heart. She loves to dance and move to music, and enjoys the company of her foster parents. She has autism and is at times very temperamental and constantly needs redirection. Tiaira is not a child that likes hugs or affection. She must be monitored constantly. She needs a structured and specialized school program. Tiaira learns at a slower rate then other children her age. Tiara has medical issues that require appointments on a regular basis. She has a chronic digestive problem. She is currently on several medications for several of her diagnosis to assist her in having a more normal lifestyle. She has irregular sleep hours and has days when she gets very little sleep. She needs monitoring with meals as she may over eat. Tiaira is totally dependent on her caregiver. She is able to hold a sippy cup and drink. She needs constant supervision. She needs one on one care and monitoring at all times, including nights when she does not sleep. Tiaira can be around other children, but needs supervision and direction. Although she is slow to attach she has become very attached to her foster parents and at times will hug them or show them affection.
A family will who accepts Tiaira's challenges and the ability to parent a child with special needs. They need to encourage her to continue to make strides to the best of her ability.
