Abby was born in Russia on 2/8/93 and has been in the USA since 2006. She completed the 9th grade with passing grades. She is very bright although her grades will vary depending on whether or not she enjoys the subject and/or teacher. Although she has problems making new friends, she has three friends at school with whom she wants to spend all of her time. Abby has had problems integrating into the family since placement. At this time, she prefers to isolate herself from her family. She will choose to stay in her room or will find other activites to avoid including herself in family activities. Abby is aware that she maybe leaving the home. Abby is gifted musically, artistically and athletically. She excels in almost everything she does. Abby needs a family that will understand her developmentally and help act as a mentor as she moves towards adulthood.
