Abraham is a 15-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Abraham likes to spend his time in solitude with his toys, coloring, and watching his favorite TV shows. Abraham enjoys outside activities, such as, camping, looking for bugs, rolling his cars, twirling and running through the yard. Abraham is autistic. He is able to follow simple directions and communicates non-verbally. He loves being read to. Abraham has a very good appetite and no problems sleeping. He loves being outdoors exploring everything! Abraham responses well to close supervision that encourages him to keep his actions and behaviors in check. He needs to be reminded about the rules. Abraham needs a family who can give him guidance and redirection when he becomes uncooperative. Abraham is in a modified classroom because of his short attention span. He needs ongoing help with communication, self-care, home living, social skills, leisure, health-safety, and community socialization. Abraham needs a family who can care for his special needs. A family who enoys the outdoors and outdoor activities will be good for Abraham. The family must be willing to work with therapist and doctors to ensure that he receives the most appropriate services available. Abraham needs a family who is willing to become knowledgeable regarding his medical needs and is able to devote time to care for him and meet his needs. The family needs to be able to advocate for him so that all services for Abraham both medical and educational can be received.
