Alan was born in Russia on 7/24/93. He was adopted when he was 11 and brought to the USA along with his two younger siblings. He has one older sister that is still in Russia. He is a healthy child that has had surgery to correct lazy eye. He wears lenses to correct his vision as well as braces for his teeth. He is currently homeschooled and is in the 5th grade. He is very intelligent but is two grades behind due to ESL. Alan plays well with other children and enjoys being around adults. He has a good sense of humor, is kind and helpful, and his current family reports that he has great potential. He has a difficult time respecting women and will often lie in a situation where he feels he may get in trouble. It is believed that Alan was abused while in Russia and has had inappropriate boundaries. At this time, the family feels that he should be replaced into another family. Outdoor activities, bird watching and playing on the playground are a few of the things that Alan enjoys. He likes working outside on chores and has a good athletic ability. This is a private adoption and ALan does not qualify for adoption assistance.
