Photolisting Profile for Alex
Alex is a 11-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Alex is a curious and determined child who is waiting for a permanent family. Despite having some medical issues, Alex is a happy child who loves to run and swim. Alex has special needs. He is a child diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis, Seizure Disorder and Autism. When at school, Alex wears a protective helmet. Although he has about a 50 word vocabulary, Alex communicates through sounds and facial expressions. Alex can feed himself but has other limitations of some daily living skills such as self-care and getting along in social situations. He is physically active and loves toys that make sounds and music. Alex loves to be read to and loves any type of stuffed animal. On a school field trip to the Fire Station, Alex enjoyed himself so much that he repeatedly talked about the "hose" and "truck" for several days. Visit me at the TARE Gallery.
Alex would benefit from a family who is structured, organized and patient. He needs experienced parents who understand his special needs and will show him unconditional love. His parents must have the time and energy to spend with Alex and read to him as often as possible.
