Alexander, who goes by Alex, is a kind and sweet youth. He enjoys being outdoors, fishing, playing basketball, and interacting with others. Alex also enjoys art, drawing pictures, and playing video games. He likes to tell jokes and make people laugh. Alex often feels discouraged and has a hard time trusting adults. He prefers honesty, as he has encountered disappointments in his past. He can become upset when he feels something is unfair or when he is redirected, although he is open and understands when things are explained in detail to him. In school, Alex utilizes assistance and resources to help him succeed. He requires supportive redirection at times and benefits from a calm voice. While Alex may test boundaries, he is propelled by a need to find his identity and feel secure. He is a bright youth who has no problem voicing his opinions or feelings. Alex is kind and respectful upon meeting.
Alex will do well with a family who will offer him patience and consistency. A family who will commit to him and support him in reaching his goals is ideal. He needs a family who will provide him with a structured home environment, stability, and love. Alex loves being in the company of those whom he cares about, so it is important that the family be able to provide him with the attention and support he seeks. A nurturing and active family is preferred. Alex will thrive in a home setting where he is given the opportunity to express his feelings.
