Photolisting Profile for Alexandria

Alexandria is a 4-year-old girl from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Alexandria is a very fragile little girl. She has had a difficult short life but is hanging in there. Her many severe medical conditions have left her non-responsive. She may benefit from the warm touch only a family can provide but due to her condition may not be responsive. Alexandria's fingers are deformed and she has anemia. A shunt was placed in her on 2006 to drain the cerebral spinal fluids and she has severe mental retardation and needs a feeding tube. She has not had a recent seizure. Alexandria has endured three whole years and every day counts for her. Can you provide Alexandria comfort and care while she struggles with her many medical and physical needs?

Alexandria needs constant interaction with her caregiver. She needs stimulation through touch. Alexandria will need to have constant exposure to different types of sensory stimulation in order to allow her to progress developmentally. Exposing her to lights, music, other children, etc. may help with her growth and development as well as brain function. Alexandria will need 24 hour care at all times for the rest of her life.
