Alexandria

Alexandria is an 8-year-old girl from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Alexandria, "Allie", is a sweet, fun loving little girl. She enjoys playing with her dolls, going to the beach and the park, climbing trees, swinging, and playing on the monkey bars. Her favorite foods are pizza, tater tots, and chocolate and vanilla ice cream. She can be a charmer and likes to be a helper. Allie can be affectionate, but it must be on her terms. Allie has been diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. She can have a quick temper and will strike out physically with her peers when she becomes upset with them. At times she borrows things without permission. Allie is slow to follow directions and can become argumentative if asked to do something that she would rather not do. Alexandria needs an active family with structured daily routines that can involve Allie. She also needs a family who can provide her a loving and nurturing environment. Clear and consistent boundaries will be needed for Allie. Allie will not be placed with her siblings, but continued contact is in her best interest. Allie will need time to form attachments. She needs a patient family who will allow her to bond as she feels comfortable.
