Amber is a 13-year-old girl from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.

Joshua and Amber need an adoptive family who is patient and understanding of their needs and willing to give them the time and attention they deserve. Joshua is a sweet, caring, energetic, passionate, and affectionate boy. He is very outgoing and friendly and likes to play outdoors. He loves making new friends and playing games with them. Joshua also enjoys learning new things about various sports. Josh is quite competitive in academics and sports. When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Josh stated that he’ll either be a governor, lawyer, or judge. He attends a specialized classroom where he is better able to stay focused and in compliance with conduct. With extra assistance on some projects and daily scheduled sessions in which to “chill”, Joshua is able to work hard enough in class to have been on the “A” Honor Roll all four terms last year. Counseling is helping him learn to think before he acts and to take responsibility for his actions. Amber is a lovely girl with beautiful brown eyes and a big broad smile. Her outgoing personality allows her to make friends easily. Amber is affectionate and loves to socialize and spend time with other kids. She attends regular classes at school and works hard to be successful, although some concepts such as math and reading comprehension can be challenging for her. She will be tested this year to see if additional resources might be available to help her maintain grade level. While Amber has no behavioral issues, she does need attention and reinforcement that she is loved and safe. Joshua and Amber have always been together, so it is important that they find a forever placement together, too. They need a family to provide them with stability, structure, consistency, and guidance as they move into young adulthood. Joshua and Amber must feel that their adoptive family is trustworthy and that they are safe and loved.
