Anthony B is a 15-year-old boy from Maine who is hoping to be adopted.
Anthony (born August of 1994), who goes by Tony, is a handsome, polite, and loving boy who enjoys playing video games, spending time in the pool, shooting hoops, reading, and spending time with adults, who can provide him with one on one attention. He loves to play outside, and he is full of energy. Tony has a knack for building things. He can put together furniture without getting frustrated, and he loves building with his legos. Tony is an intelligent boy and loves learning. He does require one on one special education services at school to provide support and guidance throughout the school day. Routine and being made aware of any changes before they happen are very important to Tony, as he find transitions difficult and can regress in his behavior during those times. Tony is very talkative and curious, but he sometimes has a hard time finding the words to communicate what he needs and wants to other people. Tony likes to play jokes, but doesn’t like it when people play jokes on him. Anthony has a hard time in social situations as he doesn’t understand or pick up on many social cues. He also has a hard time understanding that people don’t feel the same way he does about everything. This is something that Tony finds frustrating, and continues to work on. Anthony came into state custody with his three siblings in April of 2000, and had been freed for adoption. Tony has resided in the same home since May of 2000. It is very important that Tony continue to have contact with this family, as they are very important to him and have done a great deal of work to help him. Anthony will also need to maintain contact with his siblings. His adoptive family will have to be patient, caring, structured, committed and be able to give him the one on one attention he wants and needs as he grows into adulthood.Disclaimer
