Anthony "Tony" likes to please. He can be very proud of his accomplishments, especially in school. Tony knows that he is smart and likes to show this off, especially in reading. Tony wants to do well, and he tries very hard to keep his emotions in check when he is feeling stressed or frustrated. Tony gets along very well with younger children, and he thrives on being a role model.Tony takes time to build relationships and he is able to make strong connections to those around him. Tony enjoys sports, especially football and baseball. He likes to draw and experiment with new techniques (including calligraphy). Tony can be a hard worker and does not mind labor-intensive tasks. Tony gets along well with others overall. There are times when he gets frustrated with peers, and may become physical with them. Tony does well with adults overall. However, he does not like to have his personal space invaded, especially if he is a having a bad day. Tony's caseworker states, he is a charming, good-natured youth. He has a wonderful sense of humor and loves to laugh. Tony is comfortable with himself, and he seems to have a grasp on his current situation. Tony is articulate, insightful, and thoughtful. He is able to show affection and nurturance toward others. His foster parent expressed that Tony is "loveable, sweet, and smart". They have a solid understanding of Tony's emotional and educational needs. His foster parents have expressed that they want Tony to have a very strong, capable adoptive family. Tony and his foster father are "best buddies," and Tony spends a great amount of time with him at work and recreation. Tony needs a family with experience working with teens who have emotional needs like Tony's. Tony enjoys being active and will thrive in an adoptive home that encourages extracurricular activities.
