Anthony is an active and energetic teen. He is somewhat shy when you first meet him, but once he starts talking, you see what a really neat kid he is! Anthony is well rounded with many different interests. He loves to build model cars and is interested in pursuing auto mechanics as a career. He likes to play video games, bowl, spend time with friends and listen to music. During the past year, he experienced his first job helping to care for dogs at an animal shop. Anthony has discovered a talent for cooking and enjoys being creative in the kitchen. He is doing well in school, has good grades and gets his homework done – every night! He is working hard to stay focused in class and ignore distractions around the room. Like many children in foster care, Anthony has had a tough past. He is able to talk about joining a new family, but he has a lot of reservations and mistrust of other adults. He will need time to adjust and help with addressing issues related to the loss of his birth family. He will also want his new family’s support in maintaining a relationship with his birth siblings. Anthony is a youngster who needs a family that can teach, encourage, and support him as he goes through the formative teenage years and always be there for him as he journeys through life.
