April is a 15-year-old girl from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
April is a very sweet and friendly child. She loves to ride bikes, but most importantly she loves being around her sister. April likes to do things with her foster family and is very bonded to them. She loves arts and crafts, and painting is her favorite. She has a fun loving personality and loves to be silly. April requires extra attention in school and at home. She works hard on her assignments, but needs extra help with her school work. April loves to help out around her foster mother. She is very thoughtful and likes to bring her foster mother gifts. April is working on processing her feelings and emotions with the help of supportive services. She still continues to have a lot of questions on why she is in foster care. April will continue monthly visits with her biological mother, even though parental rights have been terminated.
Amy and April are two great girls who deserve one amazing family. Amy and April are very bonded to each other and find comfort and support with each other. Amy and April have been through a lot of turmoil in their short lives, so maintaining a strong relationship with each other is imperative. Amy and April are both happy and cheerful most of the time. They both love to be outside and are great bike riders. Amy and April both require extra attention in school and home. Due to their cognitive ability Amy and April will require extra care as adults. They are excited about being adopted, and are hopeful for their future. Amy and April will continue monthly visits with their biological mother, even though parental rights have been terminated.
April needs a family that is going to offer lots of love and positive reinforcement. She would like a family that enjoys spending time together. It is very important that her family show her unconditional love and support. She does very well with praise and lots of encouragement. She will need a family that is going to be an advocate for her in the educational community as well as throughout life. April will need someone who can care for her long term due to her cognitive abilities.
