Ariel is a sensitive child. He is sweet and quiet and enjoys being a helper. He is interested in watching animals play and he loves the outdoors. Video games and his Nerf gun are among some of his other favorite things. Ariel prefers to play alone and feels safe in secluded places. He tends to feel a little anxious and nervous in large crowds or new situations. In some areas his memory is limited and in other areas, he never forgets a thing. He has difficulty understanding the behavior of others and determining his own response in social situations. Ariel does very well in spelling. Ariel needs a loving family that will be patient and understanding with him. While he does get along well with other children, it would be best if he were the only child or at least the oldest child in the family. He needs a family that is willing to allow him to have continued contact with his siblings. His family will need to ensure he continues supportive services. A rural setting with smaller schools would work well for Ariel. He will benefit from concrete directions and simplified instructions. Structure and consistency will be important in helping Ariel feel secure. Ariel has five siblings and he continues to visit with them. He will not be adopted with his siblings, but it will be important for him to maintain communication with them.
