Arjel is a sweet, attentive child who thrives when receiving positive attention from adults. However, he does struggle with peer relationships and can becomes insistent and forceful. Arjel's favorite things to do are to play video games, Bionicle Legos, run around outside, and be with his sister. School is a challenge for Arjel due to his difficulties with his peers and he requires a special classroom for reading and math.

Itzel and Arjel are an energetic twosome who enjoy being together. After overcoming the past challenges, they now have a close and happy relationship. When together, they warmly greet each other and have big smiles on their faces. They continue to have their occasional conflicts, but make no mistake about it, they love and care for one another. Arjel will benefit from a family who is able to set consistent boundaries and expectations. This family will also need to be very loving, patient, and supportive of Arjel. He will thrive in a home where he is able to receive ample positive affirmations and attention. Arjel is overcoming past issues that will require him to continue with ongoing therapy. Therapy will also address his transition into a new home, reuniting with his sister, and socialization skills. Because Arjel has a difficult time getting along with other children, it is in his best interest that he and his sister be the only children in the home.
