Armando is a 2-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Armando is a sweet and loving little boy. He enjoys listening to cartoons, and looking at different toys that make noise. Although Armando is nonverbal, he enjoys listening to others talk and often makes noises in response to conversation. Armando has several primary medical needs. He is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Armando is not able to sit up on his own and is receiving multiple therapies to help his development. He is not able to grab toys or other objects with his hands. Armando is fed by a G-tube. He is working with therapists in order to prepare him for a swallow study. The ultimate goal is to take Armando off of the G-tube so that he can eventually eat regular food. Armando is very ticklish and loves to smile and laugh at anyone; he is also learning how to roll over from his back to his front.
Armando is waiting for his forever home. He will benefit from a loving, caring, and strong family who will provide him with a structured and stable environment. Armando will thrive with a family who will build on the positives as well as set up reasonable, age appropriate limits with consequences that can be enforced consistently, with an understanding of his medical needs. The ideal family for Armando is a patient and understanding family. Armando will do well with siblings and he will also thrive in a home without siblings as he loves the attention.
