David and Austin need a permanent home with a loving family that will support their ongoing contact with an older sibling. David is shy at first meetings, but becomes quite open and talkative when he is comfortable. He is outgoing, friendly, and overall a happy, energetic boy. David likes to play on his Gameboy, go to the beach, and listen to music. He plans to become a preacher and often practices preaching in his bedroom. David attends regular classes at school where he does well and gets along fine with the teachers. Counseling is helping him deal with feelings of anger and loss, as well as issues involving his past experiences. David needs to learn that he can't always have his own way and be appropriate in his reactions when that is the case. Austin is quite social and talkative after warming up to someone new. He is loving, likable, and somewhat of a comedian. Austin can be a very creative storyteller and is generally a happy young man. He enjoys playing on his Gameboy, going to Disney World, and listening to music like his brother. Austin is considering becoming a policeman when he grows up. He attends mainstream classes at school where he gets along well with teachers and other students. Staying on task is a challenge for Austin and playing the class clown does not help. Counseling is helping Austin with feelings of loss and understanding his past experiences. David and Austin are sweet boys in need of a family that will love them both, unconditionally. The adoptive family will need to be aware of the bond with their older brother, adopted separately, and be supportive in allowing them contact. David and Austin require a great deal of stability and structure, so a family that provides them with clearly set expectations and consequences, and who are consistent in following through, will be ideal. .
