Bianca is a 11-year-old girl from Florida who is hoping to be adopted.

Bianca, born July of 1998, is a physically fit, very attractive child. She is full of life and energy, and while she initially presents as a very social child, she can become very anxious. She is in a self-contained classroom to provide extra support and is described as a leader among her peers, with many friends. She can, however, be aggressively defiant towards her teachers. She can also be defiant and unpredicatable at home.She likes to be outside, going to the park or riding her bike or scooter, but also loves music and reading. She is an excellent reader. Bianca has stated she wishes to be adopted by an Hispanic family, so that she could learn to speak Spanish and wouldn't look as though she were adopted. Bianca has experienced much loss in her short life, which has been frequently acted out through challenging behaviors. It is expected that a transition to an adoptive home will further trigger these emotions and behaviors. Ongoing therapy for her and her adoptive family will be key in creating a successful adoption experience for Bianca.Bianca would do best in a two parent family, with one parent at home full-time, wherein she can receive the time and attention she deserves, and where she will not need an after-school program. Bianca can become very anxious and act out in a desire to control the environment. She needs a family who can recognize and address her need for assurance and stability and who will not see her behaviors as a personal affront.
