Blake 'zeb' is a 14-year-old boy from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.

Zeb is a gregarious, friendly and talkative 14 year old. He enjoys reading, watching movies, going out to eat and playing video games. Zeb is extremely honest and will admit when he has done something wrong. He is an active participant in the LINKS program, a teen focused independent living group that occasionally travels out of county. Zeb loves traveling and is easy to please in regards to what activities and meals are planned. Zeb is currently in 7th grade. He is an intelligent young man who likes Science and completing projects for his classes. He does not have any learning disorders, but does have an IEP to help him improve his behavior in school. Zeb is learning to manage his feelings and behaviors through counseling and medication. He needs a family that can continue to support his counseling goals and advocate on his behalf post-adoption. Zeb wants very much to be adopted into a family that will love him unconditionally. It would be best for Zeb to be an only child or the youngest in the family that adopts him. It is important that Zeb be allowed to maintain monthly contact with his sister who lives in eastern NC. He would prefer and benefit from two parents that can serve as role models of appropriate behaviors for adults. He does best with positive feedback, clear boundaries and consistent consequences.
