Counseling helps her stay in compliance. Brande is working on appropriate coping skills and learning independent living skills. When asked what she might like in her adoptive family, Brande said she would like to have her own room. She will benefit from a strong female that can model positive and confident behavior. Brande needs parents that can provide her with structure, stability, consistency, and appropriate consequences. They should be supportive of her future goals and encourage her in her academics and in maintaining positive peer relationships.
